Time Passages
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

ISAIAH 55:1-2

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

A truly incredible passage and in bringing it up I’m initiating an alteration in the course of this blog. The change is twofold. For one, it’s been eleven months since posting anything here. Secondly, it’s going to focus on passages of scripture and ponderings upon them. Not lengthy commentary filled with theological rhetoric, but rather a reflective consideration of Gods word that is perfect and will satisfy the soul. The bible is filled with verses that, the more they are thought upon the deeper they become. The word of God is as infinate and timeless as he is; unchanging and wonderful beyond comprehension.

The passage above tells us to purchase sustinence without price. It’s amazing how we run ourselves to the point of exhaustion trying to maintain the physical elements which need a continuous resupplying. The flesh can never satisfy and if we focus exclusively upon seeking satisfaction therein, we’ll never arrive at a place of contentment. The life that we have in Christ, however, resides beyond the limitations of flesh. It’s joy in the Holy Ghost and a enveloping peace that supercedes all of the worlds anxieties that will remain unabated in even the most contrary of circumstances. Jesus described it as rivers of living water springing up into everlasting life and it’s the place that every saint should be abiding in.
